Dawn Jackson brings over two decades of educational expertise to the homeschooling community as both a credentialed teacher and certified LearningSuccess™ coach. Her extensive background in traditional education, combined with her personal journey as a homeschooling parent, provides her with a unique perspective on personalized learning approaches.
Throughout her early homeschooling experience, Dawn navigated the complexities of curriculum selection and educational methodologies, developing a deep understanding of the challenges families face when designing individualized academic programs.
Through dedicated research, professional development, and practical application, she identified effective strategies and resources that enhance the homeschooling experience.
Dawn's mission centers on empowering families to discover their optimal educational pathways. She specializes in helping parents develop confidence in their curriculum choices while providing practical tools and guidance tailored to each family's unique learning style and educational goals.
A Personalized Learning Approach.
As Coaches we focus on helping families create a personalized learning plan through understanding their child's unique learning disposition. We start with a simple online assessment for both the child and the parent. This process helps identifies a child's learning preferences, strengths and learning styles. Parents are supported in new teaching methods to complement their child's strengths while gently developing areas that need growth.
This personalized approach not only enhances academic outcomes but significantly strengthens the parent-child relationship. When parents understand their child's learning disposition, they can respond with greater patience, appropriate expectations, and more effective support. This mutual understanding creates a positive feedback loop where learning becomes a collaborative journey rather than a source of tension.

As the CEO of Solimar Academy, Dawn draws on her personal experience and professional expertise to equip and empower parents navigating the world of home education. With a master’s degree in Special Education and General Education and extensive training and certifications in diverse learning styles and intrinsic motivation, she helps families discover how their children learn best—as well as those facing learning challenges.
Dawn works closely with individual families, co-ops, and homeschool communities, offering practical tools and encouragement to help parents feel confident, capable, and connected in their child’s educational journey.

Learning in Freedom and Grace
At our K–12 private homeschool program, we provide personalized, nationwide support tailored to each child’s unique way of learning. Rooted in the LearningSuccess™ Model of Education, our approach empowers families to take part in a meaningful and effective educational journey—one that prioritizes emotional intelligence, student motivation, and real-world readiness.
Upon enrollment, families complete the Self-Portrait™ Learning Style Profile, which helps us customize academic plans to align with each student’s natural learning style and personal disposition. We believe education should be engaging and relevant, so we integrate subjects for deeper understanding and efficiency, while minimizing busy work and maximizing curiosity.
From as early as first grade, students begin exploring their interests and potential career paths. Our students are encouraged to grow their natural talents and develop a lifelong love for learning. Each family is paired with a certified LearningSuccess™ Coach, and parents are guided in how to teach their children with the support of a credentialed teacher.
We are a registered private school, offering official transcripts, individualized learning plans, progress reports, online tutoring and support and a high school diploma to all students who complete the program.
